The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support Ihu Special Economic Zone’s digital systems, internal operations, and public-facing platforms. The role will contribute to improving efficiency, data management, and service delivery across the organization.
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications
Write clean, secure, and well-documented code
Maintain and improve existing systems, websites, and databases
Work with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
Integrate third-party systems and APIs where required
Perform system testing, debugging, and optimization
Ensure data security, system reliability, and performance
Prepare technical documentation and reports
Provide technical support and system updates as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum 2 years experience in software development
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript
Experience with web development frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Django, React, Vue)
Knowledge of databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
Knowledge of REST APIs and system integration
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles
Experience working on enterprise or government-related systems
